Programmes of Mission
The emphasis of Study groups is to help seekers in the practice of logical reflection in order to achieve abidance in knowledge. The purpose is to supplement what we learn from Gyan Yagnas. If we only wait for the next Gyan Yagna then what we have learnt will be neutralized. It was to plug this gap that Pujya Gurudev suggested to form the Study Groups to ensure continuity in the spiritual studies.
In a study group about 10-12 members meet every week and take up some scripture based book to collectively study and discuss it in orderto learn the basic message of Vedanta to enrich their lives. The First study group was formed by Swami Purshottamananda during his first gran yagna in 1997. This group continues to hold its un interrupted weekly classes for the last 20 years. Now the number of such groups has gone upto 12 who meet in different parts of the city Resident Acharya too joins these groups at random to encourage the devotees in their this spiritual journey.
