Programmes of Mission
Guruji Swami Tejomayananda writes, ‘We have to learn the art of living, but alongside we need to learn the art of leaving. This is the focus of the stage of life called Vanprastha”. The objective of Vanprastha Sansthan is to convert seniors citizens into Vanprasthis. Post retirement period mostly creates a feeling of uselessness and Vaccumm. This effects one’s physical economic and emotional health. The solution suggested by saints and sages is to start looking within to realize the self. We provide counseling to ‘age gracefully with a sense of fulfillment’. They need to understand that this is the time to feel relaxed and work independently without any restraint for the benefit of others.
Started in 2000 it is an organization for the senior citizens. Its meeting is held every month where some eminent personality or prominent Doctor delivers a talk to help and guide these citizens to lead a healthy and comfortable life as they grow in age. This sansthan has also by now organized three week-long camps on Graceful Ageing. These camps were conducted by specialists from Central Chinmaya Vanprashta Sansthan, Allahabad like Swami Yogesthananda (earlier Sh. Shiv Sarup Aggarwal) and Dr. Sajjan Singh. One day long camps are also organized under the guidance of resident Acharya. 223rd Monthly Meet of the sansthan is scheduled for 23rd July 2017.
