Fired by enthusiasm of the new team, the visionary leaders of the Mission decided to diversify their activities. Besides organizing the periodic Gyan Yagnas, the spiritual programmes were expanded to include weekly Study Groups, monthly Bhajan Sandhayas and Sankranti Gayatri Havans, Geeta Sharavan Sadhana and regular parvachans by the resident Acharya. Programmes for the empowerment of all age groups i.e. Bal Vihar for the children, CHYK (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) for the youth and Chinmaya Vanprastha Sansthan for the senior citizens were introduced. Recognizing the determination and enthusiasm of the present team, the Central Chinmaya Mission decided to appoint a regular resident Acharya at Amritsar. The first was Br. Parpanna Chaitanya followed by Br. Vinayak Chaitanya to guide the members in their spiritual pursuits. The present resident Acharya is Br. Tarak Chaitanya who took over in Oct. 2012.
