As a result of divine grace, the blessings of Gurudev and strong determination, commitment and enthusiasm of the team led by Sh Avinash Mohindru, Chinmaya Mission, Amritsar was able to procure about 2300 sq. yards of land for it’s Ashram named Chinmaya Amrit in E Block of Ranjit Avenue with the help of improvement Trust, Amritsar and Government of Punjab. The Bhoomi Pujan of this land was performed on April 26, 2006 and the foundation stone of the Ashram was laid on March 17,2008 by Punjya Swami Tejomayananda, the world chief of Chinmaya Mission and actual construction of the Ashram Commenced on March 15, 2009 when in a special ceremony Pujya Swami Tejomayananda himself started the earth work with the ditch machine.

- The temple complex will be managed by a qualified Purohit. Regular Puja will be performed under his enlightened guidance and all festivals will be celebrated with full devotion and religious fervour. The place will emerge as a constant source of spiritual vibrations. Purohit will also be available for various Pujas and related things for general public.
- Spiritual Camps for all age groups will be organized where devotees/ seekers will stay in the Ashram for 5 to 7 days and have the opportunity to remain fully immersed in spiritual knowledge. The effort will be that knowledge thus gained becomes their wisdom and they start practically living that wisdom. These camps will have a fruitful schedule including morning Yoga & meditation classes, GroupDiscussions and Fun Games.
- Besides week long Gyan Yagnas by eminent Swamis of the Mission, the resident Acharya will regularly conduct discourses based on our holy scriptures every month.
- Meditation Hall: Where devotees will be able to undertake regular sittings to control their minds to realize their self.
- Mini Auditorium: Special spiritual based Seminars/ Workshops/ Lectures by eminent Swamis and other Resource Persons will be organized for the benefit of professionals such as Doctors/ Lawyers/ Industrialists/ Businessmen/ Chartered Accountants/ Managers/ Teachers imparting them the necessary knowledge and tips on how to develop spiritual aspect in their profession which will provide them internal satisfaction and happiness besides making monetary gains.
Chinmaya Physiotherapy Centre: Inaugurated by S. Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister Punjab in the holy presence of Swami Tejomayananda on 26th April 2013.
- Established in collaboration with Amandeep Hospital it is not simply an ordinary exercise but a machine supported exercise performed under the special care of qualified physiotherapist doctors.
- Similarly an allopathic OPD is being established with the association of Amandeep Hospital where apart from patient being properly diagnosed and treated by a post graduate physician, other specialists such as Orthopedic Surgeon, a Gynecologist, a Pediatrician, a Dental Surgeon, an ENT Specialist, a Neurophysican, an Eye Surgeon, a Skin Specialist, a General Physician will be available at the OPD for consultation on specified days. Hence it will be a unique OPD Centre in its own distinctive way.
Expanding the scope of our social service project of providing ration worth Rs. 1000/- each to 200 very poor widows on the first sunday of every month for the last more than 15 years, the Ashram will house a well equipped Vocational Training Centre for the destitute women and widows where they will be provided with special training in different vocations suitable to their interests. This will enable them become economically self reliant. This vocational centre will be managed by well qualified missionary staff trained at CORD at Siddbari (Tapovan) H.P.
Above all the Ashram will be for the entire family i.e. Children (Bal Vihar)Youngsters(CHYK), Senior Citizen (Vanaprasth Sansthan), Ladies (Devi Groups).Special Workshops will be organized on regular basis for providing tips on ‘Happy Parenting’ for young parents. on ‘Happy Marriage’ for young couples and also on Graceful Ageing for silver Citizens.
