Bal Vihar is weekly gathering of children in the age group of 5 to 15 years, that takes place in Chinmaya Mission centres under the supervision of trained teachers. The aim of Bal Vihar is to help children learn values through fun filled activities -- to delight like the moonin and shine like the sun. In an atmosphere of love, children are imparted cultural and ethical values through the singing of bhajans (devotional songs), chanting of scriptures, hearing and narrating of Pauranik stories, celebrating important days, yoga and other delightful activities.
Gurudev used to say, ' let's catch them young'. So to impart young minds the knowledge of our rich culture, reverence for our ancient heritage and to fulfil the aim of character formation. Bal Vihar sessions are conducted at Chinmaya Amrit Ashram, Bhavan's S L Public School, & Bhavan's Aashray under the guidance of Chinmaya Mission Amritsar
